NEW DRESSIPI FEATURES: How to stylishly dress a large bust. You asked, we delivered

Posted on: June 25, 2012

Here at Dressipi we believe that fashion is a learning and inspiring conversation between you our fabulous users, and us. And when you ask we deliver. It’s all thanks to your patience and the fact that so many of you kindly took the time to give us invaluable customer feedback that we have been able to address the issue of what clothes to wear to complement a larger bust. We understand that there are so many women out there who feel the same way that some of our users do, like the lady who sent us the email below:

“I was mystified why my profile recommended that I add volume up top when I have a 38in bust.  Tops with flounces and bows just make my boobs look enormous, which is not what I want.  I understand that there is a need to balance my large hips, but there must be another way.”

As you all know we’re not simply about fruit here at Dressipi. We think body shapes are a lot more intricate than apples and pears for that matter. We are really excited by the fact that after months of careful rule writing by us stylists and beyond ingenious code writing by our tech team you are now able to add bust shapes to your Fashion Fingerprint ©. What this means is that your recommendations will now be ultra fine-tuned to show you how to use fashion to stylishly complement your larger bust. So log onto your Dressipi account, and for those of you who haven’t already done so, chose your “bust size” option in your Fashion Fingerprint ©, and enjoy some choice recommendations. In the meantime, here are a few tips to get you started… Tara and Natalie x

1. Focus on ‘fit’ rather than hiding under those big billowing shapes which will make you look bigger up top. Dress, Dorothy Perkins:

2. Invest in the key illusion necklines that we recommend to you in your Must Haves and Perfect For You recommendations. Joseph v-neck jumper:

3. Make sure that the detail around your bust is kept to a minimum so as not to accentuate the size of your bust. On this Coast dress, the ruched fabric detail across the bust creates shapely definition.
