LUST HAVES: Making a movie-scene with French Connection s/s 2013

Posted on: March 1, 2013

Inspired by the Oscars I decided to try out French Connection’s latest social media campaign and make my own Movie Scene with their spring/summer fashion collection. It takes five minutes and it’s a clever way to get the masses engaged in a bit of French Connection fashion fun. You simply log on to the link, click on the scenes you would like to use, add the music you would like (romantic, sentimental, angry, etc – I chose SENTIMENTAL ) and pick a mood (I chose NOIR) and then five minutes later you have your very own directed by you movie clip. You can also gives yours heading. Mine is called NOSTALGIA. Click on this link to watch it and scroll below for my style take on the fashion.n1

I particularly love this ivory white shift dress with it’s nipped in waist and structured skirt on a marble-effect cotton and matching biker-style jacket. The jacket is a great wardrobe staple and will take you from a holiday on the beach (obviously given my movie) to a summer wedding. You can spice up the dress with accents of this neon trend and add a wild coloured necklace and shoes perhaps fluorescent trainers or wedges. Everyone is doing a floral print jean for spring/summer and honestly even though I am not a necklace type of girl (I prefer oversized cuffs and cocktail rings) no spring/summer outfit is complete without a bit of statement bling around the neck like this silver fringed necklace. These two-tone sandals with a touch of snakeskin print will work your wardrobe like a fashion dream, which is exactly what that fabulous location looks like. Natalie x
