PERFECT FOR YOU: How to spice up casual looks with fluid and feminine blouses

Posted on: March 8, 2013

No matter how simple the blouse, the soft fluid lines of this piece always give a stylishly dressed up to look to outfits. When it comes to perfecting those just-thrown-together casual looks a blouse, rather than a t-shirt, takes your whole outfit just that little extra bit further. And of course, we at Dressipi all love a piece that can multi-task its way from desk to dusk to dawn. Whatever the situation. Here are two ways to style this week’s blouses for that effortlessly perfect off-duty look:

Layer up jeans with knitwear like Topshop’s open cardigan and a printed Zadig & Voltaire scarf which will give a striking contrast to H&M’s patterned blouse. There is nothing more that I like than a bit of off-duty bling. I mean why not. Footwear has become soooo statement this season it really does need to be reclassified as jewellery. Zara’s crystal studded high tops give just the right amount of glitzy hardware to a day time look:

It’s not all about denim now is it. This long jersey skirt from All Saints will work just as well with a pair of biker boots as it does with these Zara wedges. To balance off the paired-down shape of the skirt, the soft draped volume of this Vince blouse is perfect. Add texture with By Malene Birger’s light bouclĂ© biker-style jacket and don’t forgot your off-duty bling. This Phillipe Audibert cuff suits the understated cool mood of this look. Natalie x
