STYLE ADVICE: How can I style my new blue and white check skirt?

Posted on: June 3, 2013

QUESTION: I have bought a cute blue and white check skirt, but I don’t know what to wear with it.

ANSWER:  Although we’re not quite sure exactly what style the skirt you have is, we can give you some fabulous ideas about what may work well with it.

1. Sandro jumper, £185: – A lightweight jumper will look great with your skirt, either tucked in or left loose. It will also be a very versatile piece which will be perfect for spring/summer and can be used as a layering piece during the colder winter months too. This light grey studded knit from Sandro is cute but edgy and will toughen up your skirt whilst remaining laid back. The lower neckline will also flatter your bust.

For a more budget piece this plain version from Gap will work too.

2. Nine West wedge, £125: – A wedge sandal is the perfect summer staple and will go with so many different pieces. We love these tan wedges from Nine West which would look amazing with your skirt.

Again, for a budget option why not try these gorgeous ones from Head Over Heels by Dune :

3. H&M bag, £29.99: – A bright white tote will look perfect with your outfit, and is just the thing to carry all your daily necessities around in. This one from H&M is lovely.

4. Mango necklace, £29.99: – A statement necklace is a great piece to add some feminine glam to your outfit. This mother of pearl collar will look lovely with the other pieces.

We hope we have given you some fashion inspiration. Let us know how you get on as it’s great receiving feedback. Ria x
