STYLE ADVICE: Would love an outfit for a wedding, something in prints or colour.

Posted on: September 23, 2013

QUESTION: I am going to a wedding next weekend (church + reception, smart rather than overly formal, no hats) and need an outfit. Budget up to around £500 in total. I wear dark suits for work all week so would ideally like something in colour or print.

1. Alexon, Dress £125:– The monochrome print on this gorgeous number is lifted with hints of lilac. The ruching is great for flattering any shape, and the square neck is the perfect modern twist for the neckline. You’ll be wearing this dress to other events, so team with purple bolero or lilac fascinator to change it up.

2. Phase Eight, Dress £79.20:– I love the broody colours on this second option shift. The nude roses make it event worthy and the colour combo will be great for your mahogany red hair tone. This dress will give you that 1940’s fashion wiggle.

3. Mango, Jacket £59.99:– A white blazer in a wardrobe is a must. Dry cleaning bill aside this jacket will be an occassion saviour. It will go with virtually any dress and keeps your outfit chic and you warm. Wear this blazer whatever dress you choose and whip it off to dance the night away.

4. Topshop, Shoes £58:- I recommend these shoes as I have the white and pink suede and can vouch for them as an occassion staple. They’ll slim the ankles and make legs look longer as well as having a moderate heel and uber chic point – a Marylin Monroe style favourite. Again these shoes will go with whichever dress you choose and can double for work events.

5. LK Bennett, Dress £225:– If prints are not your thing try this sapphire coloured shift with gorgeous pleating. Another colour that’s great for your fiery locks.

6. Adele Marie, Earrings £30:– Style with a hint of bling:

7. Coast, Clutch £60:- Style your outfit with this beaded box clutch if you go for the black/green/nude print dress.

8. Jacques Vert, Clutch £52:– This purple clutch will work perfectly with the monochrome floral print shift. Have a wonderful time. SarahAx
