And now for something completely different. Designers packed away the pastels and pulled out the patterned punches as London Fashion Week set into full sale. It’s all about must-have blanket chic at Burberry and hand screen printed floaty fabrics that totally usurped those spring/summer sugar and spice and all things shapely and nice looks you’ll see in stores  and on a billboard near you right now. Mary Katrantzou swapped signature prints for a new look and textured feel and the layer upon layer of patterns every-which-way at Temperley really leaves us spoilt for choice. Even the queen of lean, bright and clean Roksanda Ilincic added touch and feel to her waist-cinching silhouettes. But that’s fashion for you. Natalie x
