OUTFITS: Having a hot pink shoe moment, and a brilliant shoe repair find

Posted on: July 8, 2014

2looksThere was a girl on the bus the other day wearing these fabulous hot pink espadrilles (below). Another lady asked her where they were from and she explained she had just bought them in the Joseph sale. As soon as I got into the office I googled ‘pink espadrilles’ and discovered they were by Christian Louboutin. Swoonsville. So hot on the heels (actually not in this case) of that hot pink shoe moment I noticed on the streams of product we edit for Dressipi that everyone from Balenciaga to New Look fashion is having a bit of a pink pre-fall shoe moment – and ironically I am listening to Pink on the radio as I type this. So I decided to have mine too. I’m lucky enough to get to go to sample sales. I have an edible pair of hot pink suede Manolo Blahnik BB’s (stiletto courts named after Brigitte Bardot) and another pair of strappy leather pink Manolo’s. Having lost one heel tip these were expertly restored to beyond brand new order for me by the most amazing craftsmen at Kelpis, 761 Fulham Road, London SW6 5UU tel: 020 7736 3856. Seriously, designer shoe repair is an art form and two pairs of boots (leather re-soled, polished and buffed) and high heels later I felt like I had just bought 4 brand new pairs of shoes. Tickled pink really! Natalie x
