With checks, plaids and tartans making their usual – but always welcome – autumn/winter catwalk appearance, now’s a good as any to start filtering them into your wardrobe. Move on from summer’s longer A-line midi denim skirt to something much more svelte and shorter. For a casual look, pair with a must-have lumberjack-style check shirt and hi-top trainers. By night go double on the checks with your accessories. You could add a pair of fine micro-net fish-net black tights if you like. This top would also look great with a pair of sleek slim leg black trousers or sharp pencil skirt. Natalie x

2015-04-08-2looks-RTJust add heels and go. Well almost. Turn a casual jeans look into a chic “I just thew this together” outfit with a few fashion friendly additions. A breton stripe top is a definite capsule wardrobe must-have – not just for summer. I think it’s hard to beat Boden’s offering which they repeat throughout the year. But the rest of the high street does a great job and you will find some good designer pieces if that is your beat. I am all about a leopard print heel. Another wardrobe must-have in my mind. Even if you are wearing a basic grey t-shirt with a pair of slouchy jeans whip these beauties on and you have that instant glamour by day. The slim fit boyfriend jean is the new boyfriend on the block. I know, its hard to keep up…and like the old boyfriends (jeans) these look fabulous with a pointy court heel. Add a burst of red with your sunnies and lipstick for that final added polish. Which way will you go? Natalie x

So you might be in beach-to-bar mode but what with the fabulous new season stock swimming into stores as we speak even if you are you can plot your return to the busier you with fashionable aplomb. Dress codes have become a lot fluider thanks to the great selection of work-to-dinner pieces out there. Instead of a basic tailored shift look for something that has modern detailing but is still apt. This LK Bennet dress does everything it needs to and more. That luscious blue is a good alternative to a sombre black or grey and stylish detailing adds that something new to your fabulous blue. Whether you are in a formal corporate work environment or can give your wardrobe a more creative spin this dress will work either scenario. What’s more slip into a metallic strappy sandal, add a print clutch and statement earrings and you’ve got a Saturday night dinner perfectly covered. Natalie x

QUESTION: Looking for mix-and-match pieces from casual to glamour for my vacation.

ANSWER: Your holiday sounds wonderful and a great excuse for a little wardrobe splurge. I have selected a mini capsule wardrobe that all works together making the most of your schedule. With sightseeing, traveling, dressing up for evening events it’s a lot to include but a fantastic, inspiring brief to work towards. Here’s what I would recommend:

1. Reiss jacket now £98:– For traveling how about this beautiful tailored double breasted jacket. It has a sightly cropped length and a hint of blazer about it that always looks timeless when flying. This is sure to look great dressed up and down over the period of the trip either worn with sleeves pushed up over little summer dresses and with jeans or worn over your shoulder in the evening.: garment-2708587-3644916
2. Mango trousers now £17.49:– You may already have a pair of these but white trousers really are a great wardrobe addition to your holiday ensemble. I love this cropped version from Mango that looks perfect worn with the double breasted jacket: garment-2611861-3456394

3. Anthropologie top £58:– Style with this beautiful silky top that looks heavenly with your colouring. The V neckline flatters your shoulder line and it’s an elegant top to travel in:

garment-2816063-38440624. Jigsaw hat £49: – For a touch of chic I would wear this beautiful Panama hat that will be invaluable during sightseeing trips and really does add an elegant touch to your traveling style:

For sightseeing and lunching on the boat you will need lots of seperates that will be interchangeable and can be worn in various ways. By sticking to a colour palette of reds, whites and blues it means that you can swap and style pieces to create lots of beautiful looks. Here are my hot list of must-haves:

1. Monsoon trousers £29: – A timeless pair of relaxed linen trousers with a rolled hem: garment-2757248-3736795

2. Boden top £29: –  A classic stripy Breton top that looks chic worn with white trousers, cropped jeans or shorts:
garment-2730319-36829443. Jigsaw silk top £89: – A splash of red will lift looks and this top would look great worn with jeans or shorts or dressed up for evening with a tailored trouser and jewellery:

4. Mango jeans £39.99: – These jeans are the perfect blue. Smart but casual and a good basic:

5. J. Crew top now £39: – We love this linen striped shirt. It’s a beautiful colour on you an can be worn with jeans, white trousers or chambray shorts:

6. Oasis shorts £35: – I just love these loose fit Chambray shorts. They are slightly smarter and would look heavenly styled with the red top, Breton top or simple tees especially worn with your chic Panama hat:

7. Mango dress now £14.99: – This lightweight cotton shirt dress would look best belted on you with sandals and again that grey tinted Panama hat:

8. Boden dress now £63.20: – A Boden printed cotton dress is perfect for day trips again worn with a metallic sandal or dressed up for a relaxed evening date worn with some special jewellery and with your DB Reiss jacket:

9. J. Crew tote now £29: – Beach bags are very in Vogue this summer and this neutral, red and navy version works perfectly with all your holiday looks:

You’ll need a few stunning pieces to glam up for evening and something classic in a body skimming fit looks beautiful on you.

1. Oasis dress £55: – This slinky heavyweight jersey dresses flatters your frame with a drapey v neck and skinny belt detail. The colour will look stunning on your skin once you’ve caught a hint of holiday glow:

2. Phase Eight dress £160: – This navy full length dress is the ultimate evening dress for you. I know that there will be at least one occasion that requires “full on glamour” and this dress with it’s hint of body skim, draped tummy detail and easy – non-iron slinky fabric is the perfect cruise dress. We know you love Phase 8 so hopefully it ticks all your boxes!:

3. H&M jumpsuit £39.99: – How about a vivid blue jumpsuit as a cool alternative to an evening dress. This one is an amazing price and very similar to a Diane Von Furstenberg one but at a fraction of the price! Add your navy DB jacket for chilly strolls on deck! garment-2720887-3667593

4. Zara bag now £19.99: – Add a sparkly clutch to your packing that amp up any nighttime looks. Perfect for styling with the cream dress and with your silky blue top, white trouser and double-breasted jacket combinations. I hope you love our list of suggestions as much as I’ve enjoyed putting the pieces together. As always feedback good or bad is very helpful. Enjoy your trip and have safe travels. Tara x4646004091_1_1_1

2015-07-23-1dress-2ways-RTSometimes you just have to have a grey dress day. I don’t mean corporate work day grey. I mean a cool and clean sports-luxe grey day. I am having one today in a COS grey stretch-jersy sporty shift dress. Grey dress days are fabulous. You can colour them in any which way up or down, just think fabulous accessorising and layering. This dress is the chic version of a sporty sweat top – minus the gym. It’s perfect for this time of the year. Keep with the sporty luxe athletic feel by styling with an on-trend trainer and athletic style jacket. This gorgeous pink piece from Topshop will be a hit for A/W as it channels the catwalk shade of the season: pink. Add a hint of ‘bling’ with a snakeskin effect tote. Vamp things up by night with a cool, modern, almost architectural mood. This red leather clutch will double up as a day bag and every wardrobe needs a metallic killer heel. Or two. Natalie x

The novelty bag … not a wardrobe necessity but a perfect fashion pick-me-up. I mean if not why not? With the 80’s Revival hitting the fashion world in full glitzy and glam force next season, you will be hard pressed not to feel the urge to invest in a little bit of this monster magic. Nothing yells the 80’s and all its quirkiness more than Moschino. If you don’t want your bank account to yell so loud this cute little number from Topshop will do just the trick. What a novel idea.
