Posted on: July 15, 2015

QUESTION: I am going on a cruise visiting the South of France, Florence, Rome, Mykonos, Athens and Istanbul. I would be so grateful if you could recommend clothes for the flight, the cruise and also sightseeing. Preferably pieces that travel well and do not crush or crease easily.

ANSWER: The cruise you have planned sounds like so much fun, what a fantastic selection of cities! We have put together a capsule wardrobe that will suit your trip perfectly:

1. Whistles trousers, now £49.17: – The ideal outfit for any flight is something that feels comfortable whilst also getting you into the holiday spirit. We love these floral Whistles trousers as they’re lightweight and versatile, just finish it off with a navy or white t-shirt and a contrasting colour cardigan. They will also double up as a chic way to sightsee, Just add flat sandals:

2. Reiss top, now £30: – A white top is a real must-have for any holiday wardrobe. This broaderie-anglais t-shirt will really complement the Whistles trousers and can also be worn with an a-line skirt and a statement necklace for instant evening-chic or a pair of jeans or chinos:

Pick a neutral shade that complements the other colours in your capsule collection – navy will look lovely on the patterned trousers as well as the white pair of capri’s:

7. LK Bennett shoes, £125: – For sightseeing, an alternative shoe option would be a pair of flat espadrilles or white pumps. These can be teamed with either pair of trousers or an a-line skirt or sundress:

8. Linea dress, £39.50: – There are likely to be a couple of smart dinners onboard, so it would be a great idea to pack a fancy frock! We’ve picked a summery floral dress that won’t crease in your case. The v-neck and tailored fit creates a gorgeous feminine silhouette – pop a pair of espadrille wedges in your case to finish off the look:

9. J.Crew hat now £27: – A wide brim sunhat will be handy to keep the sun off your neck when stepping off the cruise – either stone coloured or white are ideal as they will match everything in your suitcase:
