Dress looks are just about manageable without a pair of black opaque tights which by now we are all desperate to ditch. Turn this shocking pink dress with it’s on-trend ruffle details   into a stylish day look with these capsule wardrobe basics: the humble denim jacket and must-have ‘fashion’ trainers. If trainers aren’t your thing switch for an animal print ballerina or a pair of ankle tie pointed flats. Natalie x

Red, white and blue, weave a bit of nautical inspiration into your weekend look. Don’t hold back on the texture and print clash…as long as you stick to the same colour palette this cheeky breton stripe tee and wedding-to-weekend Zara tweed jacket work very happily together. Vamp things up with a statement heel. Valentino’s new take on the iconic Rockstud is less stud and more rock. Get a similar backless, strappy feel on the high street  with these stiletto heels from Office £70, or these from River Island £45. Natalie x

A dress that’s the perfect blank canvas is a great investment piece for your wardrobe. This navy blue fit-and-flare update on the shirt dress can take you from a weekend lunch (white skate shoes or a tan wedge) to a wedding guest or evening out look. Play around with your accessories. Make more than one statement with this power pairing of key accessories and a chic little black dress. An animal print heel is a great wardrobe highlight piece. Use it to add an element of interest to a casual jeans and basic tee look, or to vamp up a sleek day-to-night lbd. You can do the same with a statement clutch and pair of lust-have drop earrings. At the autumn/winter collections in Paris this week one of the biggest trends to emerge is the “no rules” approach when it comes to day or night dressing. It’s glamour all the way with heavily embellished or opulently patterned floor sweeping evening dresses being styled with fur trimmed slides or the shoe of the season a flat black leather ankle boot, preferably a lace-up or military style. Closer to home have a look at some of your favourite party pieces and see if you can give them a dress-down spin with a casual trainer. Look for oversized evening clutches in leather or suede for that bit of edge. Natalie x

2017-03-03-one-look-rtChunky knits are just what the weather ordered this weekend. Something cosy but perfectly chic. We love this hint of a breton stripe knit from M&S. Style with slim or straight leg jeans to complement the volume. There’s a 60’s style feel to these black flats from Topshop and they’ll also work a dream come next winter too with a little denim mini skirt, opaque tights and a faux-fur cropped jacket. Speaking of chunky knits you might also like this pink striped piece from Miss Selfridge £28, or this grey cable knit by Fat Face £25Natalie x
