2016-03-30-haute-high-RTI’ll be the first to say that suede in any soft neutral tone is probably not the most practical of shoes. On the other hand, this colour really will go with anything and if you’re looking for an occasion sandal that is not only versatile and in a low-key shade, but also a lot more contemporary in feel than a more classic style, why not try these tie-at-the-ankle numbers? Boden has got some fashion fabulous footwear at the moment especially summer sandals, and Gianvito Rossi has mastered the art of putting his lust-have cool spin on classics. Which way will you go? Pink was one of the unlikely hero shades for autumn/winter and it’s here to stay as we transition into the new season. We’re talking a soft dusty vintage rose colour, but those bold fuchsia shades will also be out in full force as the season unfolds. In addition to the abundance of ladylike pink bags that you might well have noticed on fashion pages so far this year, a pink dress will give your wardrobe a fresh update and carry you through the warmer months. These silky dresses have a waist-accentuating belt detail perfect for creating a sculpted silhouette. If you prefer something more tailored/fitted you might like this Whistles shift dress. Add to this one of the new season shoe styles – mules (yes they are back) and style with a day-to-night quilted leather clutch. Rustle up something casual for a cosy weekend lunch with friends. Spice-up those comfy boyfriend jeans (Paige Denim) or mom jeans (Topshop) with a statement animal print heel and on-trend tassels. A versatile grey v-neck jumper is a capsule wardrobe must-have. If lunch turns into dinner your suede clutch will give your outfit that touch of evening chic. Which way will you go? Natalie x

If like me you are well-versed in the art of Instagram (a polite way of saying obsessed) you may have noticed that the shoe of the year has to be the suede fringed sandal by Aquazzura. Whether it’s the cobalt blue or bright red most of the time these shoes were sold out before they even hit the worldwide web shop floor. Not only have they captured the hearts of women but they really do add a fabulously wonderful touch of polish and flair to outfits. No matter how simple. Add one of the season’s must-have cable knit jumpers to the mix and a sleek pair of slim fit tuxedo trousers and you’re a stylish selfie away from Instagram stardom. Which way will you go? Natalie x

There are ankle boots and then there are ankle boots! Right now from Balmain to Zara your ankle boots are coming complete with fringe benefits. Coupled with a slinkier stiletto heel and suddenly a practical style turns into a fun and frivolous fashion must. This is a step on from spring/summer’s 1970’s trend which has continued through to this season. Opt for a more rock and roll approach – rather than boho with these picks. It’s a great way to vamp up a floral print dress and will also look fabulous with one of the must-have denim dresses or plaid shirt dresses out there. Which way will you go? Haute or high? Natalie x

2015-09-15-haute-high-2-looks-RTI have had my eye on those bug eye clutch bags, no pun intended, but seriously what a fabulous piece of fashion fun to liven up those morning school runs or just popping out for a newspaper and coffee moment. It’s all very fashion week street star style all of which has kicked off this last weekend in New York. Take a quick detour on the new voguerunway.com and lap up the gorgeous moody Givenchy show with intricate face-lace for make-up or Victoria Beckham’s bright coloured harnesses which add a complete new meaning to the concept of layering. Whilst designers are showcasing their new spring/summer 2016 inspirations we’re all indulging our inner autumn/winter 2015 fashion egos. See how a trim of bright coloured faux-fur adds a completely new dimension to a basic khaki parka. Layer this over your simple black work dress and style with a must-have fashion trainer. Suddenly that morning commute to work takes on a whole new stylish dimension. Who knows you might even find yourself being snapped by one of those street style photographers. Natalie x
HAUTE: 1. Fendi bag £480, 2. Diesel coat £260, 3. Stella McCartney trainers £365, 4. Sportmax dress £465

Warm and fuzzy – it’s one of the hot to trot catwalk trends that you’ll be snuggling up in this season. Seems like designers have been taking inspiration from Ice Age 1, 2 and 3. Kate Moss owns the leopard print fur coat look hands down. She’s often papped in her signature vintage piece. You can own the look too. The whole faux fur and leopard combination oozes retro glamour. This coat will work around the clock from cosy and casual looks to vamp-it up cocktail hour stunners. You simply have to snap up a pussy-bow blouse. It’s all part of the reworked 70s boho mood as well as the miix-and-match granny chic trend. There are enough v-neck pussy bow necklines to happily accommodate those shapes that are not suited to a high neckline. You can just as easily snap up an on-trend black skinny scarf (Zara has perfect ones) and tie it at the neck of your favourite white shirt for the same effect. Put some glitz into your daytime footwear – it’s very 80’s which is very now. Which way will you go…haute or high? Natalie x
