Blend day-to-night accessories with a show-stopping dress for multi-outfit choices. Don’t think that just because it’s lace and red it’s solely an evening piece. The heavier structured lace and more demure style means you can switch around your accessories for an ultra-chic day or holiday look. Portofino anyone?! Tan or a neutral sandy shade gives a great summery feel to red. Go for a top-to-toe tonal look with a mix of textures. Vamp it up by night. Play with textures again and added embellishment. Natalie x

Velvet has always been a festive season look. But this year it’s been given a real style reboot as one of the key catwalk trends, and not necessarily just reserved for party looks. There is nothing more indulgent than a plush velvet dress that sweeps all the way down to the floor. This DVF number is a real show stopper. You might also like something like this from the Reformation £315 or this dark purple dress from Wallis £35. Velvet lends itself to all things sparkly like these glitter accessories. You can also go for 100% opulence and style with jewelled bags or shoes and glitzy jewelled chandelier earrings. Natalie x

Cobwebs never looked so chic, and when it comes to Halloween inspiration, just add lace. This Whistles dress will set the tone for the party season ahead and you can dress it up so many ways – from metallic heels and accessories for a shimmery effect, to autumnal jewel tones for something more retro. A colourful faux-fur jacket is the perfect casual weekend cover-up and it adds that extra special something to a glam evening look. Natalie x

Every wardrobe needs one of those instant top-to-toe ‘wow’ looks. Something that you can just ‘throw’ together because you know it will all work. That thrown together look takes a bit of planning and capsule wardrobe building. If you like particular colours – for example pastels – build some of your key wardrobe pieces around these favourite shades. Whilst a sugary pink and edible mint green look fabulous with ice-cool crystals and metallics (as above) you can just as easily style this dress with a strappy black sandal (not a court shoe as it is too heavy) and black clutch for a bolder feel. This fabulous feathered cropped jacket would work a dream with jeans (black or blue) – ditto the clutch. And there you have it: gorgeous key pieces to work into perfect wow looks. Natalie x

We love a little black dress or two or three. It’s often life’s best solution to the what-to-wear dilemma. Especially for a night of romance –  you want to look fabulous and not worry about what you are wearing. Jazz things up with a hip biker style jacket in a lightweight tweed …texture is tactile after all! Use your multi-tasking accessories to ‘colour-in’ your look. Then dazzle. Natalie x

Ohhhh…I am partial to a bit of razzle-dazzle, sumptuous faux-fur and a slinky heel at this time of the year. It’s a great excuse (as if you need one) to get dressed up. Think of making great purchases that will keep you going well into next year for those smart-casual evening looks or spring occasions. Ok, faux-fur will not work a room at a summer wedding but when the January blues set in it’s a fun and chic way to dress up your basic jeans and comfy boots look. You can already find great sales bargains on at the moment and now is a good time to start ear-marking those extra special pieces you might want to hunt down in the sales. Natalie x
