Make more than one statement with this power pairing of key accessories and a chic little black dress. An animal print heel is a great wardrobe highlight piece. Use it to add an element of interest to a casual jeans and basic tee look, or to vamp up a sleek day-to-night lbd. You can do the same with a statement clutch and pair of lust-have drop earrings. We love the sporty feel of this fluffy bomber jacket making it a perfect party piece cover-up with a bit of edge and a great way to take your look from day to night. Whistles has some fabulous new season dresses like this 100% silk snakeskin print shift making it a 24/7 must-have. Style with an on-trend berry heel. On the high street you might like this pair from Dune £80 or this style from Dorothy Perkins £23.75. We’re sticking with the belief that glitter is an essential part of your party wardrobe and throwing in this sparkly clutch – it’s a key piece if you want to take your daytime chic all the way through to evening glitz. 2016-02-29-one-look-RTWeren’t some of those Oscar dresses fabulous. Shout out to Best Actress winner Brie Larson in a dreamy floor-sweeping royal blue Gucci gown and Leo in Armani! There were quite a few red-carpet jumpsuit and cape combinations too like Lady Gaga in all the drama of an ivory Brandon Maxwell number and Elizabeth Banks in ivory lace Ralph & Russo. Channel this look, without the cape, for a different spin on occasion dressing. Tory Burch’s red hot jumpsuit has a sleek straight leg cut. At Dolce & Gabbana’s Fairytale Fantasy show in Milan this weekend models wore oversized headbands with brocade and jacquard bows and jewel embellishment. This Misa Harada headpiece will create that same effect so you can wear next season now. Natalie x

It’s not all floor-sweeping gowns or slinky cocktail dresses when it comes to party outfits. Your evening separates and accessories will add the glamour-factor to your favourite pair of jeans. Taking inspiration from all things art deco, flapper style feathers and glitzy beading make a welcome evening addition to outfits and a change from the usual sleek black pieces. This jacket will also pair perfectly with party dresses and you can also style the top with a pair of black trousers or slinky pencil skirt. Natalie x

STYLE ADVICE: I’m looking for a dress to wear for a New Year’s Eve dinner. The dress code is black tie and posh frocks. I have a couple of things in my wardrobe but they are years old and would need accessorising but I don’t mind buying something new.
I don’t get out to dressy occasions much so am reluctant to pay hundreds of pounds for a dress to hang in the wardrobe. I would spend up to £150 if you could work within that. Thank you for your help.

ANSWER: We’d love to recommend some items to accessorise your dress and maybe something new to try.

1. Monsoon jacket £59:– Add this fur bolero to your dress for the winter months and an added glam factor. You’ll be wearing this with many more gorgeous dresses to many more events:

2. Monsoon bag £29:– Gold accessories are the hollywood glam staples as well as being versatile. The shine on this clutch is really eye catching and immediately takes an outfit up a notch:

3. Dorothy Perkins, Shoes £29:– These gorgeous low heel sandals are a great nod to the 1940’s, the ultimate glam era. They are super wearable and will be making an appearance at many occasions to come:

4. Marks and Spencer dress £49.50:– If you decide to go for something new try this great evening piece from M&S. The lace and on trend velvet fabric makes this the perfect party piece. And its the perfect style for balancing your proportions. At this price you won’t feel bad about another dress in your wardrobe you’ll wear again and again. SarahA x

Party, party, party. From office dinners to Christmas cocktails start thinking about upscaling those perfect figure-flattering shifts into all manner of reincarnations for the festive season. There is something fabulously understated but hugely chic about a soft pink for winter. Here I’ve styled sit with one of those must-have lightweight tweed biker jackets from Zara. This is the type of piece that really should become a Zara all year round staple on the shop floor and in your wardrobe too. Add a slinky patent stiletto court and dove grey snakeskin clutch and you’re dinner-date ready. Combining pale pink, deep berries and gold gives a moody retro feel to your look. Think art deco diva. Top it all of with a pile of faux-fur and the night is yours. Natalie x
1.Zara jacket £39.99, 2. Christian Louboutin heels £425, 3. Violeta bag £34.99, 4. MaxMara dress £378, 5. Topshop coat £79, 6. Lulu Guinness bag £245, 7. ASOS heels £40.

With checks, plaids and tartans making their usual – but always welcome – autumn/winter catwalk appearance, now’s a good as any to start filtering them into your wardrobe. Move on from summer’s longer A-line midi denim skirt to something much more svelte and shorter. For a casual look, pair with a must-have lumberjack-style check shirt and hi-top trainers. By night go double on the checks with your accessories. You could add a pair of fine micro-net fish-net black tights if you like. This top would also look great with a pair of sleek slim leg black trousers or sharp pencil skirt. Natalie x
