1D-2Ways-Weekend-Wedding-RTThere are so many gorgeous dresses filtering in right now. With summer occasions on the horizon make your pieces really multi-task by styling them with those wardrobe must-haves to take them from weekend to wedding. Denim and biker jackets are your perfect dress down basics. Throw on a pair of trainers and whether you’re in full-on lace or floor sweeping florals like this Topshop piece, £59, you’ve turned night into day. Natalie x

Coats? Tick. Jumpers? Tick. Sparkly ankle boots? Why not! Boost your cosy and casual looks with a bit of festive footwear sparkle. There’s plenty of choice, whether you opt for one of those fabulous on-trend glittery lurex boots or something sparkly and embellished or this edgier gold studded pair. Keep separates paired back and simple but go for bold when it comes to your cover-ups. Natalie x

Who remembers Steve McQueen in that fisherman’s cable knit jumper in the Thomas Crown Affair? It’s the perfect knit, especially for bonfire night celebrations and  cosy winter looks. These gorgeous slate grey colours work so well blended together. Give them a boost with textures, like this animal skin-effect bag in a deep green and a cheeky glitter heel for daytime sparkle. In fact, at this time of the year, glitter is most definitely a wardrobe essential. Natalie x

Cobwebs never looked so chic, and when it comes to Halloween inspiration, just add lace. This Whistles dress will set the tone for the party season ahead and you can dress it up so many ways – from metallic heels and accessories for a shimmery effect, to autumnal jewel tones for something more retro. A colourful faux-fur jacket is the perfect casual weekend cover-up and it adds that extra special something to a glam evening look. Natalie x

It’s good to see high street brands producing quality pieces that will stand the test of time. Who doesn’t love a grey day? This colour will multi-task its way through your wardrobe from bold brights to cool neutrals. Mango’s take on luxury comes in the shape of this single breasted wool coat. In terms of high street cashmere, personally I cannot fault M&S’s other than the fact that I wish they would do more pieces in simple basic colours. This cashmere dress will look fabulous with high heeled boots or Gucci-like platform sandals and lurex tights for a chic evening look, courts for work and a run around ankle boot for the weekend. Add a cosy hot pink with this oversized scarf from Joules. Natalie x

1.Mango wool coat £99.99, 2. Joules scarf £24.95,  3. M&S cashmere dress £125, 4. DKNY bag now £220, 5. Miss Selfridge boots £45

There really are no rules when it comes to ultra-versatile wardrobe pieces. Take this black stretch wool dress by DVF. It’s the perfect work-to-party piece. Add in a must-have faux-fur jacket which will update casual looks and also give that finishing touch to evening outfits. The two-tone pumps keep this outfit in the daytime zone … but evening-friendly too if heels aren’t your thing. Complete your look with a shoulder bag with a hint of animal print and a quirky statement earring. You can just as easily switch the shoes for a trainer, or an ankle boot or strappy evening sandal for 3 totally different moods. Natalie x

1.DVF dress £306, 2. Mango earrings £9.99, 3. H&M jacket £49.99, 4. Topshop shoes £29, 5. Faith bag £35.

As much as we like to flag up a good dress, separates are having quite a moment – at the moment. Suddenly here on the style team we were all having a “I would love a pair of great tailored trousers” discussion last week. Something to style with slinky slim fit knits, silky loose blouses and a vampy low neckline bodysuit. To be precise. Ankles are also in. Which means an ever so slightly shorter length gives you the perfect excuse to update your hosiery and socks. Think a black micro net ankle or knee high sock like these at Topshop or go all Gucci-esque in a glittery lurex sock like these gold ones at ASOS. Try it! Natalie x
