Crisp linens, cool blues, splashes of animal print, glimmers of gold…thinking ahead to summer dressing and this is a winning fashion formula. This dress would work just as well with a dose of vibrant hued accessories – if that’s your thing. Any spring/summer events that involve gardens, lawns, polo fields or river banks could do with a stylish wedge as opposed to a slinky stiletto heeled sandal. Slip into a jewelled flat sandal or on-trend slide, grab a canvas tote, add oversized sunglasses and you’re holiday ready. Natalie x

2016-03-30-haute-high-RTI’ll be the first to say that suede in any soft neutral tone is probably not the most practical of shoes. On the other hand, this colour really will go with anything and if you’re looking for an occasion sandal that is not only versatile and in a low-key shade, but also a lot more contemporary in feel than a more classic style, why not try these tie-at-the-ankle numbers? Boden has got some fashion fabulous footwear at the moment especially summer sandals, and Gianvito Rossi has mastered the art of putting his lust-have cool spin on classics. Which way will you go? Pink was one of the unlikely hero shades for autumn/winter and it’s here to stay as we transition into the new season. We’re talking a soft dusty vintage rose colour, but those bold fuchsia shades will also be out in full force as the season unfolds. In addition to the abundance of ladylike pink bags that you might well have noticed on fashion pages so far this year, a pink dress will give your wardrobe a fresh update and carry you through the warmer months. These silky dresses have a waist-accentuating belt detail perfect for creating a sculpted silhouette. If you prefer something more tailored/fitted you might like this Whistles shift dress. Add to this one of the new season shoe styles – mules (yes they are back) and style with a day-to-night quilted leather clutch. If like me you are well-versed in the art of Instagram (a polite way of saying obsessed) you may have noticed that the shoe of the year has to be the suede fringed sandal by Aquazzura. Whether it’s the cobalt blue or bright red most of the time these shoes were sold out before they even hit the worldwide web shop floor. Not only have they captured the hearts of women but they really do add a fabulously wonderful touch of polish and flair to outfits. No matter how simple. Add one of the season’s must-have cable knit jumpers to the mix and a sleek pair of slim fit tuxedo trousers and you’re a stylish selfie away from Instagram stardom. Which way will you go? Natalie x

HAUTE: 1. Saint Laurent trousers £614, 2. Alexander McQueen jumper £860, 3. Aquazzura shoes $785.

HIGH: 1. LK Bennett trousers £175, 2. H&M jumper £29.99, River Island shoes £65.

There are ankle boots and then there are ankle boots! Right now from Balmain to Zara your ankle boots are coming complete with fringe benefits. Coupled with a slinkier stiletto heel and suddenly a practical style turns into a fun and frivolous fashion must. This is a step on from spring/summer’s 1970’s trend which has continued through to this season. Opt for a more rock and roll approach – rather than boho with these picks. It’s a great way to vamp up a floral print dress and will also look fabulous with one of the must-have denim dresses or plaid shirt dresses out there. Which way will you go? Haute or high? Natalie x

HAUTE: 1. Marc by Marc Jacobs earrings £80, 2. Balmain boots £348, 3. Ray Ban sunglasses £147, 4. Carven dress £690

2015-08-06-haute-high-2-looks-RTI never thought that I was quite into all those longer line waistcoats that have been on the shop floors for a while. That is until I was on the bus the other day and saw a girl in her skinny jeans, fashion trainers and one of these waistcoats that went all the way down to just below her knees. She accessorised her look with an oversized structured tote and a chihuahua. It wasn’t the dog that sold me on this look. Sometimes you really need to see these pieces in action. It all just looked really sleek and fresh and especially since her outfit was styled with a sleeveless top as opposed to anything longer. This is a good way of styling something loose with something fitted to get a great play on proportions. H&M does a fabulous range of 100% silks and this top will come in handy 24/7 rain or shine. The new season sees a huge 80s revival from slinky dinky glitz and flash to the more demure iconic loafer. These animal print and metallic penny loafers give a great modish flavour to your look and will work perfectly with a denim mini skirt and black opaque tights when the chill sets in to stay. Which way will you go? Natalie x
HAUTE: 1. Saint Laurent long line waistcoat £1605, 2. Nicholas Kirkwood shoes £465, 3. Theory silk top £150,4. Stella McCartney jeans £240. HIGH: 1. Mango long line waistcoat £49.99, 2. Boden shoes £129, 3. H&M silk top £29.99, 4. Warehouse jeans £40.
2015-04-08-2looks-RTJust add heels and go. Well almost. Turn a casual jeans look into a chic “I just thew this together” outfit with a few fashion friendly additions. A breton stripe top is a definite capsule wardrobe must-have – not just for summer. I think it’s hard to beat Boden’s offering which they repeat throughout the year. But the rest of the high street does a great job and you will find some good designer pieces if that is your beat. I am all about a leopard print heel. Another wardrobe must-have in my mind. Even if you are wearing a basic grey t-shirt with a pair of slouchy jeans whip these beauties on and you have that instant glamour by day. The slim fit boyfriend jean is the new boyfriend on the block. I know, its hard to keep up…and like the old boyfriends (jeans) these look fabulous with a pointy court heel. Add a burst of red with your sunnies and lipstick for that final added polish. Which way will you go? Natalie x
