The humble shirt dress gets a prints make-over with this fabulous dark green number from Warehouse. Wear your belt cinched in at the waist or draped and tied gently at the bigger for a looser fit. Blend in contrasting greens with your accessories. These Zara lace-ups are a great new take on summer flats. Natalie x

For all the fun and madness of boho-style kaftans, Hamptons-chic printed tunics and Ibiza-cool playsuits there’s one beach cover-up that’s understated and ultra-chic: the white shirt. Worn loosely, knotted at the waste, sleeves rolled up, sleeves left down – it’s simply perfect. You could easily borrow from the boys with a man’s cotton shirt  – it’ll be a bit oversized which is just the way you want it really. 100% cotton or linen is going to keep you ultra cool. Now let’s give it a trend name with a lust-have location. Saville Row beach-chic anyone? Natalie x

It’s that time of the year -the Haute Couture Collections – when Paris turns into the most luxurious chocolate box of whimsical fancy with fashion offering up some of the most exquisite pieces. And nothing is more exciting than the elaborate settings Karl Lagerfeld conjurs up for his Chanel Couture show. This season “all the world’s a stage” became his mantra as he combined the old and the new with a theatrical setting of sci-fi futurism and ancient ruins.

Page_2It’s so much fun ‘watching’ the Couture shows on twitter. Front rowers are torn between the excitement of the star-studded guests and the fashion itself. “Rihanna has just arrived” tweeted one fashion editor. And there she was in a silky slinky Chanel dress that she made even slinkier with the absence of a bra. Like only Rihanna can do. I’ve decided to offer you up an interpretation of this look but would strongly advise that you complete your outfit with a bra (something discreet and sleek from Calvin Klein will do the trick). I have taken this slinky longline shirt from M&S which you can wear as a dress. Pile on the pearls – the more the merrier and the better. I love this Monsoon multi-strand piece with a corsage which will look perfect over a plain black t-shirt. Combine with this longer Jon Richard strand pearl necklace and snap up a choker style to go the whole mile. These LK Bennett courts complete the look and the navy blue picks up on the soft blue shirt-come-dress. Alternatively these Dune pointed courts will look fabulous. Natalie x
