2017-12-07-One-look-RTLayer up for the winter weekends with sugary shades and cosy knits. These key pieces will stand the test of time over and over again. A little black suede ankle boot will work perfectly with a day dress and black opaque tights. Try styling this looser fit cashmere jumper with a midi length pleated skirt in a jewel toned velvet or a sparkly detailed mini skirt for a stylish take on the season’s skirt looks. Natalie x

There are plenty of ways to refresh you day dress looks this winter thanks to the trend for opulent details – think Marie Antoinette opulence – and all things faux. Take a leaf from the Gucci catwalk and double up on your favourite prints.  Zara has got the faux-fur trend covered down to a “t”.  This jacket feels so soft and velvety to the touch and the added floral print in retro lilac gives it a Prada-like feel. Layer over an animal print dress and bling it all up with embellished flats. Natalie x

Soft volume in a dress or skirt plus an over-the-knee boot is the perfect winter style combination. It lends itself to an ideal day-to-night outfit option. Layer over a faux-fur gilet or a loose fit longline cardigan. If you look at the autumn/winter catwalks of Valentino and Gucci for example there was no holding back on prints plus more prints. Go for double florals by styling this dress with a bag that picks up on the floral details. Natalie x

Ditch the denim for a ladylike weekend look. LK Bennett has really turned out some fabulous day-to-night dresses this season. Think: floaty enough for a bit of daytime romance – just style with trainers or boots; sleek enough to vamp up for evening. You could just go for pure daytime glamour by adding a splash of on-trend sparkle with these heels or  a pair of glittery lurex tights or socks. Natalie x

Sometimes a trend is as much about a style of clothing or a colour or pattern, as it is about how we style an outfit. One of the key trends this season is a maxi dress (item of clothing) + knee-high or over-the-top-boots (item of clothing) styled together (very 70’s mood trend) and finished off with a slightly oversized vamped up denim shearling jacket (70s trend) and a bit of glitz (ornate embellishment trend). Do you get the picture? What’s more this look is perfect for day or night as a pair of coloured or metallic high heeled boots is the new alternative to an evening sandal. Natalie x

Key notes are pushing the basics’ boundaries with hot prints and hotter shades. Look at any high street brand from Massimo Dutti to Zara to Topshop and you’ll find an oversized chunky knit with statement sleeves in red. From fur trim cuffs to pearl detail embellishments over-the-top jumpers are having a moment. This piece from Topshop will spice up your casual denim looks in a flash. Natalie x
