Layer up in khaki with this light weight parka jacket which will double up as the perfect travel companion. When it comes to jeans it’s all about the high waist this season. This rise gives a sculpted effect to a roomier fit boyfriend or straight leg jean, whilst really vamping up the shape-boosting effect of jeans. Wear with a loose fit t-shirt draped in at the waist. Coats? Tick. Jumpers? Tick. Sparkly ankle boots? Why not! Boost your cosy and casual looks with a bit of festive footwear sparkle. There’s plenty of choice, whether you opt for one of those fabulous on-trend glittery lurex boots or something sparkly and embellished or this edgier gold studded pair. Keep separates paired back and simple but go for bold when it comes to your cover-ups. Natalie x

Is the Little Black Jumpsuit the new LBD? Well, not quite. But it has been a hit on the red carpet this year and we might well have Stella McCartney to thank for its sudden rise to the star-style hall of fame. Remember her black lace jumpsuit with a soft nude tone lining from a few seasons back? Or her cut -away at the side curve enhancing vampy number best filled out by Gwen Stefani? And then there is the all-in-one nod to an almost tailored suit as sported my Rihanna:

template-5x3 copy 2Earlier in the year Rebecca Hall wowed the red carpet in a plunge-front Lanvin jumpsuit at the Iron Man 3 Premier, whilst Tali Lennox gave a boho spin to hers with a wide-brimmed hat at the Roger Vivier book launch and just a few days ago on a brand push in the Far East, McCartney dazzled in a waist-cinching piece. We’ve styled this mesh detail Topshop jumpsuit £38, with a dose of wild colour thanks to this hot pink DKNY blazer £427. Metallic accessories give the necessary razzle dazzle effect – Charlotte Olympia sandals £645 and Alex Monroe earrings £138. Add a final touch with this fabulous black and gold studded clutch Emilio Pucci. Natalie x

They really are teasing us aren’t they?! I cannot wait for the movie version of  Les Misérables to hit our screens. First it was a December launch. Now it’s January 11th. Unlike Hollywood, fashion waits for no one. It’s only been a few months since that gorgeous black Balenciaga gown with a ruffle and sliver of white hit the spring/summer 2013 catwalk.

That same black-ruffle-white-trim detail that I still don’t have a trend name for and that a lot of designers did. Never mind. Cut to last night at the London premier of Les Mis and there was actress Amanda Seyfreid working the red carpet in said Balenciaga gown. Which technically speaking has already filtered through onto the high street inspiring this ultra-chic little black cocktail dress from Zara. See, fashion waist for no one. Natalie x
